The documentary-based video THE GAME explores life and survival at borders, both within and beyond Europe. Escape routes are visualized from a subjective perspective on a smartphone screen. A voice-over recounts personal experiences of pushbacks, violence, and constant attempts to escape—forming a quiet chronicle of endurance and resistance. In this context, the mobile device functions both as console and interface, evoking the aesthetics of a virtual game. The result is a layered, picture-in-picture experience that reveals the tension between digital abstraction and lived, physical threat.
