EXIT is an in-situ video-sound performance intervention created in 2019 at the Rotondes. The loop shows footage of an athlete, filmed from various perspectives, running in the arena of a former roundhouse. During the performance, the sounds of his breathing and footsteps are transmitted live through speakers. The audience is immersed in the performer’s physical exertion through the repetition and rhythm of the run. With this loop, the artist poetically explores themes of physical limits, fatigue, and the human condition.
