ELSEWHERE WITHIN HERE depicts an intervention with monobloc chairs situated near the Greek-Turkish border. In this context, the sculptural intervention, reminiscent of the endless column, can be interpreted as a manifestation of escape, representing a transitional space or the transgression of boundaries. However, what emerges from this imagery is a profound sense of absence and failure, of a motion going in the wrong direction and a suspension of time that invites contemplation on issues related to identity, hope, and the inherent futility present in our world. It‘s an attempt to create associations that evoke imaginary spaces and inhabited non-places in which the ephemeral and invisible converge.
